  Founded in 2009, Working Wonders Starting Home Inc. has been dedicated to empowering Brooklyn youth through innovative programming. What started as a vision to provide quality youth development in underserved communities has grown into multiple programs serving hundreds of young people annually. In 2026, we launch our groundbreaking Competitive Basketball Program - Brooklyn's first fully-integrated adaptive sports model - thanks to NYC DYCD funding and community support. 

 The mission of Working Wonders Starting Home Inc. is to uplift and support youth and families in Brooklyn by providing essential services, educational programs, and holistic development opportunities. Through sports, mentorship, and community engagement, we empower young people, promote mental well-being, build life skills, and create a foundation for lifelong success and community leadership. We believe ALL youth - regardless of ability, background, or circumstance - deserve opportunities to thrive
